PRINCETON OPPONENTS TODAY

New York City, Friday November 7, 1913.--At 2 o'clock this afternoon on Osborne Field the fast and versatile Princeton football team will meet the University eleven in what promises to be one of the most closely fought contests of the season. Both teams have shown rapid improvement in the past week, and will start the game almost evenly matched. Princeton has confidence from its 54 to 0 victory over Holy Cross last Saturday, coupled with the fighting spirit instilled by the loss of the Dartmouth game the week previous. While the University team has had no chance to show its full strength in the early season games, the men individually at least equal the Princeton players, and have the advantage of experience and perfection in the fundamentals. The game will be a hard contest between consistent rushing of the backfield combination of Brickley, Bradlee, and Hardwick, and trick formations of the heavy Princeton backs.

Signal Practice Last Night.

The team arrived in New York in good condition and went at once to the headquarters in the Hotel McAlpin. After dinner the players put on sneakers and had a signal practice of an hour's duration in the ball room on the twenty-fourth floor of the hotel. The men retired at 9.30 and will rest until their special train leaves for Princeton at 10.10 tomorrow morning. Mahan will not be in the lineup at the start of the game. Although his infected foot has healed well enough for him to be able to play, yet the coaches think it best to start Bradlee in his place. Captain Storer has recovered from his strained leg and will start the game at right end. Soucy will take Trumbull's place at centre.

The University team will arrive at Princeton on a special train at 12.10 today taking lunch on the train. They will return to New York immediately after the game, and will spend the evening at the Winter Garden. The squad will leave for Cambridge Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.
