Judge Willis Brown's farm for boys in Utah is apparently a western edition of the George Junior Republic. Like that holder institution it is a self-governing community which aims at being a healthful substitute for the so-called reform school or house of correction. Mr. George has spoken many times in past years both in Cambridge and Boston; the movement in which he was a pioneer is spreading--as witness the foundation of self-governing communities for children in Connecticut, Pennsylvania and other states.
