Second Victory in 20 Years

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Cornell defeated Pennsylvania yesterday by the score of 21 to 0. This is only the second time in twenty years that Cornell has defeated her rival, and only one of the contests has been a tie. The first touchdown was made in the first period and came as the result of straight rushes from midfield. The second was the result of a freak play when Barrett, trying for a field goal kicked the ball across the line and Fritz fell on it. The last score came at the end of the third periods. Fritz and Barrett starred for the winners, while Captain Young played the best game for Pennsylvania.

The Carlisle football team defeated Brown by the score of 13 to 0 in the annual game at Andrews Field, Providence, yesterday morning. Both teams were somewhat handicapped by injuries. Calac and Guyon of Carlisle were the stars of the day, each making a touchdown.
