Freshman Cross-Country Runners Easily Defeat Providence High.

The Freshman cross-country team defeated the Providence Technical High School team of Providence in a three-mile race over the Belmont course yesterday afternoon, by the score of 22 to 41. J. E. C. Clark of Providence won first place in 17 minutes 15 seconds, but the Freshman secured five out of the next six places. The first five men on each team to finish figure in the score. The first 14 men to finish are as follows; 1, J. E. C. Clarks, (p); 2, A. R. Bancroft '17; 3, R. S. Cook, '17; 4, H. S. Boyd'17; 5, C. M .Fort, (P); 6, H. R.Bechtel '17; 7, R. C. Paine '17; 8, J. H. Townsend '17; 9, L. Dorsey (P); 10, C. J. North '17; 11, L. Bullock '17; 12, H. L. Barber, (P); 13, W. R. Whitehouse '17, 14, G. A. Chandler, (P).
