Sears Prizes Awarded

The Sears Prizes in the Law School have been awarded for the year 1913-1914 to Julius Houseman Amberg 2L. (Colgate University), of Grand Rapids, Mich.; James Dwight Dana 2L. (Yale), of New Haven, Conn.; Charles Pascal Franchot 3L. (Yale), of Olean, N. Y.; Robert Porter Patterson 2L. (Union College), of Glen Falls, N. Y.; and Boykin Cabell Wright 3L. (University of Georgia), of Augusta, Ga.

The Sears Prizes were established in 1909 in memory of Joshua Montgomery Sears, Jr., "to be awarded annually to students in the Law School who shall have done the most brilliant work in their class during the year." These prizes, of $375 each, are not scholarships, being awarded without regard to the pecuniary means of the students.
