Mr. Charlton Andrews, of Valley City, North Dakota, who was the first MacDowell Fellow three years ago, is to have one of his plays, "His Majesty the Fool," produced at the Little Theatre in Philadelphia this autumn or early in the winter. It is to follow "Tomorrow" by Percy MacKaye '97 which will probably begin in about three weeks.
The Little Theatre of Philadelphia aims to do what Winthrop Ames's Little Theatre of New York is doing, but on a smaller scale. It is under the stage direction of Frank Reicher who was coach of the Dramatic Club three years ago. When Percy MacKaye's "Scarecrow" was put on the professional stage, he took the part which T. M. Spelman '13 created when it was acted here.
Mr. Andrews has just published a new book with the J. B. Lipincott Company. It is called "The Drama Today."
