Eminent Social Worker Will Deliver Address on October, 28.--His Subject Not Yet Announced.
Doctor Wilfred T. Grenfell will speak in the Living Room of the union on Tuesday evening. October 28, at 8.15 o'clock. Doctor Grenfell has been procured for this address through the efforts of several of the College men who were with him on his boat and at the New found land Mission this summer. A definite subject has not yet been announced, but any talk that Dr. Grenfell may give cannot fail to interest the members of the University.
Doctor Grenfell has, from very small beginnings, established in unparalleled system of relief for the poor coast population of Newfoundland. He has combined a Christian purpose with medical skill, and has built up along the north Atlantic cost a string of hospitals and comfortable, attractive reading rooms where the men are taken care of and entertained. He travels from place to place in his three-masted relief boat and every summer he takes a limited number of Harvard men with him. These summer trips are invaluable experiences for any who are interested in medical service and mission work among the rude fishing classes.
Attention is called to the fact that this lecture is on Tuesday evening, and not on Monday or Wednesday as are most of the Union lectures.
