HOCKEY TEAM BEAT SECOND

University Forwards Fast and Effective in Scrimmage Yesterday.--Hopkins Made Only Score.

In a fast 25-minute scrimmage the University hockey team defeated the second, 1 to 0, in the Arena yesterday. Though the first team succeeded in scoring but one goal, the playing was chiefly in the second team's territory, and several scores were averted only by Carnochan's good work at the net. The forwards still continue to play together and displayed a fast, effective attack, which broke through the second team defence continually. Hopkins's score from scrimmage came near the end of the period. P. L. Wendell '13 has been taken on the squad.
