Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
It has been decided to hold practice for the Freshman baseball team in conjunction with University fall practice this year. This afternoon all candidates for the Freshman team except those playing football are expected to report at the Locker Building at 2 o'clock.
Fifty Men for University Team.
About fifty men from the three upper classes reported yesterday afternoon for University practice. The men were taken out under Coach Sexton's direction and after a little limbering up were divided into two teams and a regular nine-inning game was played. Throughout the fall this general plan, which proved so beneficial last year will be followed. Two teams as nearly equal as possible in strength will be picked, and will be given their training in playing against one another with Dr. Sexton coaching.
Wingate's Batting Featured.
Yesterday afternoon team A defeated team B by a score of 6 to 4. Most of the squad were given a chance to play, Captain Wingate and one or two others alone staying throughout the whole nine innings. Wingate made three hits, a two-bagger and two singles, out of five times at bat, and Harvey's fielding, during the time he was on second base was exceptionally good.
Following are the batting orders of the teams:
Team A.--2b., Winlock, Francke; s.s., Wingate; 1b., Clark; c., Young, Choate; 3b., M. B. Phillips; c.f., G. N. Phillips, Mansfield; l.f., Randall, Winsor; r.f., Gannett, Perkins; p., Waterman, Sturgis, Bass, Bassett, Herter.
Team B.--2b., Harvey, McDonnell, Josephs; c., J. Waterman; r.f., Frye; Tibbetts; 1b., Ayres; l.f., Alsop, Knight Brown; c.f., Baker, Hardy; s.s., West, Mason; p., Stevens, Boyle, Burr; 3b., Burns, Winter.
