Dr. C. L. Lange, of Norway, secretary-general of the Interparliamentary Union, delivered a lecture on "The Interparliamentary Union and its Task in the Organization of the World," in Emerson Hall last evening.
The international problem is the problem of organization. The United States has successfully shown that local autonomy and national unanimity are made possible by federalism and democracy. But these lessons could not be applied to Europe.
But is it not possible for these forty individual bodies to be bound together, not as the United States of Europe, but as the United Nations of Europe? This is the goal toward which nationlists are not working.
