Matches played in the trials for the University tennis team yesterday afternoon resulted as follows: E. H. Woods '14 defeated H. S. McKee '13, 6-2, 6-3; G. B. Kayser '14 defeated T. B. Lewis '13, 6-3, 6-2; L. I. Grinnell '12 defeated O. Williams '14, 8-6, 6-3; A. M. Hyde '12 defeated H. G. Smith '13, 7-5, 7-5.
The following matches are to be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock: A. M. Hyde '12 vs. G. B. Kayser '14, J. C. Devereux '14 vs. J. R. Pratt '12, A. J. Lowrey '13 vs. L. I. Grinnell '12. Winners are to report scores in the CRIMSON Office before 6 o'clock.

Matches played in the trials for the Freshman tennis team yesterday afternoon resulted as follows: C. H. Smith defeated D. G. Watts, 6-2, 6-2; G. M. Gates defeated B. Cobb, 6-0, 6-0; J. A. Richards defeated E. Spalding, 6-2, 6-3; H. Wainwright defeated V. S. Church, 5-7, 6-3, 6-4; P. R. Mechem defeated G. M. Taylor, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
The following matches are to be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock: C. E. Morris vs. P. B. Watson, P. G. Courtney vs. C. A. Herter, E. H. Hemenway vs. P. R. Mechem, T. J. Coolidge vs. J. A. Richards, G. M. Gates vs. D. C. Josephs.
Progress in Golf Matches.
The results of the trials for the University golf team held yesterday afternoon were as follows: P. W. Dunbar '12 defeated W. V. Booth, Jr., '13, 3 up and 2 to play; E. W. Rogers '13 defeated R. Bowser '13, 7 up and 5 to play. The following matches will be played this afternoon as soon after 2 o'clock as possible:
At Oakley: F. C. Baker '12 vs. P. W. Dunbar '12.
At Brae Burn: J. G. McNeil '13 vs. E. W. Rogers '13.
The results of the Freshman trials at Woodland were as follows: E. O. Handy defeated, H. K. Caner, Jr., 8 up and 9; E. P. Allis defeated R. M. Baker, Jr., 8 up and 9; B. Nichols defeated G. C. Ludlow, 1 up.
