Courts at Soldiers Field Open.

The tennis courts on Soldiers Field will be opened to members of the University this afternoon.

Amateur Wireless Operators.

The Wireless Club will hold a meeting in Apley 2 this evening at 8 o'clock to discuss the question of amateur operators, apropos of the Titanic disaster. All members of the University who are interested are invited.

Call for Leiter Cup Teams.

Leiter cup baseball entries close tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock. So far only three teams have entered, and in order to make the series a success it is necessary to have a large number of teams participating. It therefore behooves all those who intend to enter, either on teams or individually to do so without fail before 5 o'clock tomorrow.

News of the Primary Election.

When the CRIMSON went to press this morning, the returns in the Massachusetts primary elections were as follows: Taft men admitted that Roosevelt has secured the eight delegates at large. Boston voted for Taft with a majority of about 600. Roosevelt had secured a majority in the preferential balloting. Full returns could not be secured for several hours.

Tennis Matches Played and Scheduled.

Matches played in the trials for the University tennis team yesterday afternoon resulted as follows: O. Williams '14 defeated S. Minot '13, by default; A. M. Hyde '12 defeated G. M. Rushmore '13, 6-4, 6-3; L. I. Grinnell '12 defeated H. G. Smith '13, 6-3, 3-6, 10-8; T. B. Lewis '13, defeated W. Faulkner '14, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4; E. H. Woods '14 defeated R. Tunis '13, by default; J. C. Devereux '14 defeated G. B. Kayser '14, 2-6,. 6-2, 6-3.

The following matches are to be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. E. H. Woods '14 vs. H. S. McKee '13, G. B. Kayser '14 vs. T. B. Lewis '13, O. Williams '14 vs. L. I. Grinnell '12, A. M. Hyde '12 vs. H. G. Smith '13.

Freshman and University Golf.

The result of the Freshman golf trials yesterday afternoon were as follows: H. W. Schroeder defeated F. S. Bloom, 10 up and 8; E. O. Handy defeated R. M. Baker, Jr., 2 up and 1; S. P. Griffitts defeated B. Nichols, 7 up and 6; R. B. Southgate defeated C. F. Ilsley, 1 up; H. K. Caner, Jr., defeated G. C. Ludlow, 6 up and 5; E. P. Allis defeated R. S. Emment, 4 up and 3.

The following trial matches will be played at Woodland this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock; E. O. Handy vs. H. K. Caner, Jr.,; B. Nichols vs. G. C. Ludlow; C. F. Ilsley vs. R. B. Southgate; H. W. Schroeder vs. A. Fisher; R. M. Baker, Jr., vs. E. P. Allis.

Play will be resumed in the trials for the University team and the following two matches will be played at Oakley as soon after 2 o'clock as possible: C. E. Miller '14 vs. P. W. Dunbar '12; E. W. Rogers '13 vs. R. Bowser '13
