Dudley Field Malone,. Corporation Counsel for New York, delilvered a lecture in the Union yesterday afternoon under the auspices of the Woodrow Wilson Club.

It has been the custom of politicians to make glittering promises before entering into office and then forget them when in power. In Mr. Wilson's campaign for Governor of New Jersey he promised new employers' liability laws, new election laws, cold storage bill, and several other economic reforms. Within ninety days after Governor Wilson was elected these promises had become laws, and the power of public service corporations was broken in New Jersey.
