The University fencing team won an easy victory over Bowdoin yesterday afternoon in the Hemenway Gymnasium, winning eight bouts out of nine. In, the first round, G. B. Wilbur '12 lost to Warren only after an extra period. The other bouts, however, were won without difficulty.
The summary:
First round.--M. M. Boyd '12 defeated Briggs (B.); Warren (B.) defeated G. B. Wilbur '12; H. H. Loomis '13 defeated Holt (B.).
Second round.--G. B. Wilbur '12 defeated Briggs (B.); H. H. Loomis '13 defeated Warren (B.); M. M. Boyd '12 defeated Holt (B.).
Third round,--H. H. Loomis '13 defeated Briggs (B.); M. M. Boyd '12 defeated Warren (B.); G. B. Wilbur '12 defeated Holt (B.).
