ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL GAME

University Soccer Team to Play Lynn Electric Company in First Game of Season at 3.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University association football team will play its first game of the spring season on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock against the General Electric Company Club of Lynn, if the condition of the field will permit.

Soccer candidates were called out only last Monday, but hard practice since then has been encouraging, and the outlook is bright for a record that will better that of last year's team, which tied Haverford for the intercollegiate championship.

The University team will play the Fall River Rovers on Soldiers Field next Saturday afternoon, and the first game in the intercollegiate series, with Cornell, will be played here on Saturday, March 23.

Owing to the poor condition of a part of Soldiers Field, the Freshman game with Waltham has been cancelled.

The line-up of the University team today will be as follows: g., Bowne; r.f.b., Rushmore; l.f.b., McCall or Fox; r.h.b., Grant or Weston; c.h.b., Curtis or Grinnell; l.h.b., Hallowell; r.o.f., Locke; r.i.f., Murdoch or Bowne; c.f., Needham; l.i.f., Palmer; l.o.f., Greene.
