Yale Lost Debate at Princeton

Princeton defeated Yale in the debate at Princeton last evening. Princeton accordingly is the winner of the fourth triangular debate between Harvard, Yale and Princeton. The series between the three universities now stands as follows: Harvard 10, Princeton 8; Harvard 16, Yale 6; Princeton 9, Yale 9. Since the inauguration of the triangular system, Harvard has won twice, Princeton once; and Harvard and Princeton tied in the first debate.

Princeton defended the negative of the question, "Resolved, That the United States Government should accept the principle of monopoly control and regulate prices, in all cases where the monopoly has been brought about by the operation of economic laws." The Princeton speakers were C. F. Taeusch '14, E. R. Whittingham '12, and F. E. Mason G. S. C. E. Bingham '13 served as alternate. The Yale team was as follows: W. M. Haushalter G. S., G. C. Stucker '14L., R. C. Foster '12 D. S.; alternate, A. B. Green '13.
