Dr. Paul Shorey '78, Ph.D., LL.D., Professor of Greek at the University of Chicago, will deliver the fourth of the Lane lectures on "Life and Letters at Athens" in Emerson D this evening at 8 o'clock. His subject will be "The School of Athens -- Plato and Isocrates."
Dr. Shorey will give two more lectures in the series after his lecture on Plato, covering in them the period of Demosthenes and from Aristophanes to Menander. These will complete the story of the life and letters at Athens from the time of Pericles to Alexander.
The lecture will be open to the public.
