At the meeting of the executive committee representing the movement to establish closer relations between the Boston Opera and the University, held yesterday afternoon, it was decided that the date of the proposed dinner should be set definitely at April 1. Mr. Henry Russell, director of the Boston Opera House, has promised to attend, and it is hoped that other men prominent in music will be present. Invitations will be sent to the members of the various clubs and organizations represented on the committee.
It was decided to make the dinner the occasion of the formation of an Opera Association composed of members of the University who favor the movement and wish to lend their support. The executive committee will meet again in the Committee Room of the Union, this afternoon, at 5.30 o'clock, to make further arrangements.
