University Debaters Picked

The final trials for the University debating teams held Saturday resulted in the choice of H. H. Breland '12, J. A. Donovan '13, I. Levin '14, L. A. Mahoney '13, C. B. Randall '12, and M. Suravitz '13 to represent the University in the debate to be held on March 29; A. A. Berle '13, G. K. Gardner 1L., and F. F. Greenman '14 will be alternates for the debate. The Coolidge Debating Prize of $100 for the best work in the trials was awarded to C. B. Randall '12.

R. W. Kelso '04 will coach the teams, and will determine the final make-up of the teams, which, however, will not be announced until shortly before the debate.

The judges at the trials were Judge A. P. Stone '93, R. W. Kelso '04, Dr. A. N. Holcombe '06, of the department of Government, and C. E. Dunbar 1L.

The members of the University teams in the debate will each receive a gold medal known as "The Coolidge Debating Medal," and the alternates will receive a silver medal of similar design.
