WHITE TO SPEAK IN EMERSON

FIFTH LECTURE IN PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT SERIES AT 8.15 O'CLOCK.

Mr. William Allen White will deliver the fifth lecture in the Progressive Movement series in Emerson D this evening at 8.15 o'clock. His topic will be "Concerning Certain Demagogues," and the lecture will be open to all members of the University.

Mr. White, who is a native of Kansas, has devoted himself largely to journalism. Besides being the editor of the Emporia (Kansas) Daily and Weekly Gazette, and a well-known magazine writer, he is the author of several books. Mr. White is an advocate of progressiveness in politics, and most of his writings deal with political problems.

Next Monday, R. P. Bass '96, Governor of New Hampshire, will give the sixth lecture in this series, taking for his topic "The Progressive Movement in New Hampshire," and early in March, Congressman William Kent, of California, will give the seventh lecture; his subject will be "Leadership versus Book-Rule in a Democracy."
