The University fencing team was defeated by the University of Pennsylvania and the Annapolis teams in the two meets held last Friday and Saturday. The score of each meet was 5 to 4.

At Philadelphia on Friday evening, H. H. Loomis '13 won his three bouts in easy fashion while G. B. Wilbur '12 won the fourth. M. M. Boyd '12 failed to qualify. Captain Dalsheimer and McPherson did well for Pennsylvania, each winning two bouts.

At Annapolis on Saturday afternoon. H. H. Loomis '12 again did the best work for the University team winning two of his three bouts by good margins. M. M. Boyd '12 and G. B. Wilbur '12 each won one of their bouts. Larimer and Dodd excelled for the Navy each winning two bouts.
