Revision of University Hymnal

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Board of Preachers has definitely decided to revise the University Hymnal. The need of some such revision though only recently called to public attention, has long been felt among undergraduates and Faculty. The revision will be thorough and will therefore take time, probably a matter of months rather than of weeks. The plan as at present conceived by the Board, and indeed the only feasible plan, is to meet from time to time and discuss personal suggestions.

The result will not be an adoption of some other hymnal but a compilation which will unite the best selections from the old book with some of the more recent hymns.
