HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
The first of a series of four lectures under the auspices of the Lowell Institute on "The Evolution of Plants" will be delivered this afternoon by Professor Hugo de Vries, of the University of Amsterdam, Holland. It will be given in Huntington Hall, 491 Boylston street, Boston, at 5 o'clock. No charge will be made for admission, but tickets must be obtained in advance from the Curator of the Institute.
Professor de Vries is an eminent botanist, his name having been long associated with the mutation theory of evolution. He is the author of a number of works on the subject, the most noted of which is "The Origin of Species by Mutation."
