JOHN HARVARD'S BIRTHDAY

Dr. Simons Will Give Memorial Address at Regular Chapel Exercises This Morning at 8.45.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Rev. Minot Osgood Simons '91 will pay tribute to John Harvard in his address at morning prayers in Appleton Chapel this morning at 8.45 o'clock. There will, however, be no change in the hour or length of the service. The organist has selected hymns appropriate for the occasion.

Though no record of the date of John Harvard's birth has been found by historians, today has been accepted by the Memorial Society as the founder's probable birthday, and is without doubt approximately correct. It was the date on which celebration of the 300th anniversary was held in 1907.
