Anniversary of John Harvard's Birth

The 305th anniversary of the birth of John Harvard will be marked by a short address in Appleton Chapel at the time of morning prayers tomorrow. This day, November 26, has now been decided upon as the founder's birthday, although last year November 27, and two years ago, November 29, was the day chosen.

No record of the date of John Harvard's birth has ever been discovered by historians. In 1907 on the 300th anniversary of his birth, however, the celebration took place on November 26.
