The announcement has just been made by the State Department that Larz Anderson '88, the donor of the new Stadium bridge, has been appointed ambassador to Japan by President Taft. It has just been learned that Mr. Anderson, whose name was a short time age submitted to Tokic, will be satisfactory to the Japanese government. Mr. Anderson has had several previous positions in the diplomatic service, being at present minister to Belgium.
