LECTURES BY PROF. ROYCE

Professor Josiah Royce, LL.D., of the Department of Philosophy, will give a course of free public lectures under the auspices of the Lowell Institute. The general theme prevailing through the eight lectures is embodied in the subject "The Problem of Christianity." The lectures will be given in Huntington Hall, 491 Boylston street, Boston, at 8 o'clock on Monday and Thursday evenings, commencing next Monday evening, November 18.

The dates with the particular topic for each date are as follows: November 18, "The Problem and the Method." November 21, "The Idea of the Universal Community." November 25, "The Moral Burden of the Individual." November 27, "The Realm of Grace." December 2, "Time and Guilt." December 5, "Atonement," December 9, "The Christian Doctrine of Life." December 12, "The Modern Mind and the Christian Ideas."

Admission tickets to the first lecture of the course, exchangeable at the door for course tickets with reserved seats, may be had by applying by mail to the Curator of the Lowell Institute, 491 Boylston street, and enclosing one stamped, addressed envelope for each ticket desired.
