FAST FRESHMAN PRACTICE

First Team Scores Easily in Short Scrimmage.

Mid-week practice for the Freshman football squad showed clearly that the team intends to end its season with a snap. Every man was on the field yesterday and joined in the scrimmage with vim. The policy of the coaches in giving the men easy work during the last week of practice seems to be proving decidedly successful.

Dummy tackling was added to the usual routine yesterday. Fifteen minutes of signal practice followed, after which the regulars lined up against the second team for a short scrimmage in which the first team men had little difficulty in scoring. The substitutes, when sent in, did a good deal of fumbling and were consequently scored on by the seconds. Both regular and substitute ends have lately been receiving particular attention and are developing into fast and sure players.
