SECRET PRACTICE YESTERDAY

HOLLISTER GIVEN A TRY-OUT AT QUARTER ON SUBSTITUTES.--SHORT SCRIMMAGE.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University football squad had its first secret practice of the season yesterday afternoon. During the first part of the practice the squad was divided into small groups, and personal attention was given by the coaches for the purpose of eliminating some of the faults shown in Saturday's game with Holy Cross. P. M. Hollister '13 was tried at quarterback on Team B for a short time, and he may prove to be a "find" for that position. After a period of signal drill by the two teams, there was a short scrimmage.

The line-ups:

Team A.--Felton, H. Frothingham, Hollister, l.e.; Storer, l.t.; Cleary, l.g.; Parmenter, c.; Pennock, r.g.; Hitchcock, r.t.; Weatherhead, O'Brien, Coolidge, r.e.; Gardner, q.b.; Brickley, l.h.b.; Hardwick, r.h.b.; Wendell, f.b.

Team B.--Coolidge, Milholland, r.e.; T. Frothingham, r.t.; F. B. Withington, r.g.; F. Wigglesworth, c.; Weston, l.g.; Beebe, l.t.; Smith, l.e.; Hollister, Logan, q.b.; Lingard, r.h.b.; Bettle, l.h.b.; T. Hardwick, f.b.
