The James Gordon Bennett Prize of $40 for the best essay on American domestic or foreign governmental policy has just been awarded to Howard C. Reid '12, for the year 1911-12. His winning essay was entitled "A Study of the Rock Island Railway and its Controlling Companies." David Rubin '12, was awarded honorable mention for his essay on "The Metropolitan Street Railway Organization of New York City." The competition was open to Seniors and special third-year students only.

The judges for the contest were Francis R. Bangs '91, and Judge Robert Walcott '95.
