Regular work has begun for the gymnastic squad in preparation for the meets and exhibitions to be held this winter. The first contest, which will take place in about two months, will be a novice meet. A cup is offered by Dr. Sargent for the man winning the largest number of points in this meet, and other prizes will be given for the first three places in each event, the events being: the horizontal bar, side-horse, parallel bars, flying rings, tumbling, and club swinging.
Dr. Schrader, the gymnasium instructor, and members of last year's team will be in the Gymnasium between 5 and 6 o'clock Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons to help all men who are interested in gymnastic work.
The squad will take several trips this winter to various parts of New England to give exhibitions and to hold meets.
