The Freshmen were given their first try-out on the river yesterday. One crew was sent out by Coach Wray and watched carefully. The rest of the squad was kept at the machines. A second eight will probably go out today, and when two are finally picked the remaining oarsmen will be divided up into dormitory crews.
The order of yesterday's crew was as follows: stroke, Boyer; 7, Jeffries; 6, Biddle; 5, Schall; 4, Wilson; 3, Moffat; 2, Herrick; bow, Baldwin; cox., Sargent.
