FIRST SOCCER PRACTICE

Record Squad Reported for Work Under Captain Barron Yesterday.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University and Freshman association football teams held their first practice under Captain Barron on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. About 50 candidates reported, a record number for the first day. After a light warming up practice, two 15-minute scrimmages were held. No regular line-up went on the field, but University and Freshman candidates were mixed up to make four teams and every man was given as much individual attention as possible.
