FRESHMAN TEAM IMPROVING

Hockey Squad Held Satisfactory Practice in Stadium Yesterday.

Practice for both Freshman hockey squads was held in the Stadium rink yesterday afternoon. Coach Pratt took charge of squad A and gave the forward line a stiff drill against the defence. The work on the whole was satisfactory, the forwards showing a marked improvement in team-work. S. T. Hopkins '14 instructed squad B in shooting and passing.

An important cut in the squad was made after practice yesterday and all men who were not retained are urged to enter the scrub hockey series. The games will be watched and any men showing the necessary ability will be taken on the squad.

The line-up of the first team was as follows: l.e., Baker; l.c., de Windt; r.c., Phillips; r.e., Winsor; c.p., Handy; p., Claflin; g., Washburn, Wigglesworth.
