Voluntary rowing practice for candidates for the University and Freshman crews was held for the first time in the Newell boathouse yesterday afternoon, over 70 men reporting. This voluntary work will continue until the mid-year examination period and Coach Wray will be on hand every afternoon except Saturdays. Regular practice in the tank and on the machines will begin on February 12. It is expected that hereafter a much larger number of men will avail themselves of this opportunity for preliminary work.
