A team made up of the University forward line and the second team defence was 2 to 0 by the second team forward line and the University defence in a 45-minute scrimmage in the Arena last evening. By far the best work was done by the University defensive combination, Blackall and Willetts. Although the first team forwards were slow, their work was of sufficient merit to give the opposing defence a severe test, and the latter proved effective at all times.
The second team forwards showed more speed and dash than their opponents, and seemed to work better together. Palmer scored the first goal, and Pierce the second.
