Silver Cup Offered for Broad Jump

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the purpose of encouraging interest in the running board jump, a silver cup will be awarded the man showing the greatest improvement in this event in the course of the various broad jump competitions to be held in the Baseball Cage during the remainder of the winter track season. The cup has been offered by a former track man, who withholds his name, and it is now on exhibition in Leavitt & Pierce's. The next broad jump competition will be held in the Cage on Soldiers Field on February 25. It is hoped that a large number of new men will start training immediately for this competition.
