H. A. Yeomans Appointed to Fill His Place During Absence.--Other Corporation Notes.

At the last meeting of the Corporation, Assistant Dean W. R. Castle, Jr., '00 was granted leave of absence for the second half of this year, his place to be taken by H. A. Yeomans '00, instructor in Government. In order to fill the vacancy thus made F. W. Dallinger '93 was appointed lecturer in that subject to take his place.

H. A. Christian, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and of the Medical School, resigned from these positions in order to take over his work at the Brigham Hospital, the resignation to go into effect September 1. This resignation was necessary on account of an agreement to that effect made with the Brigham Hospital.

Two pictures of the Taj Mahal, painted by J. R. Rich '70 and left to the University by him in his will, were accepted, and it was voted that they be placed in the Union. One of the paintings is by moonlight, the other shows the Taj Mahal in the day time.
