Mid-years now seem a long way off, especially to the careless Freshman who little knows that to the College Office January is the shortest month of the year. Although the CRIMSON hardly recommends the method of doing all the work for a course during the month of January, a good share of it may be done by the conscientious student who has failed in the November hours. From now until after the examinations there are few distracting excitements to draw the College away from its work. In view of what happens after mid-years in the way of theatricals and athletics, we urge that the whole College--athletes, editors, and prospective Phi Beta Kappa men, turn with a will toward making up for past deficiencies and storing up credit at the Office for possible, though we hope not probable, future expenditure.
