Worcester High School defeated the Weld Boat Club by three-quarters of a length in a one and one-half mile race in the Basin on Saturday afternoon.
The Weld crew got the better start and maintained a slight lead during the first half-mile, but then began to fall behind, owing to exceedingly poor steering.
