Regulations for Commencement Day

The University Marshal has issued his annual circular in regard to Commencement Day. The Yard will be closed to the public, as usual, but no tickets of admission will be required. Only holders of degrees, temporary members of classes, officers, present members of the University, and guests of the Corporation and of the Chief Marshal of the Alumni will be admitted. Women and children will not be admitted. The Johnston, Meyer, McKean, Class of 1857, and the Class of 1877 Gates will be used for entrances.

The Harvard Union will be open only to members on Commencement. A luncheon will be served from 12 to 2 o'clock. Since the Union cannot undertake to furnish luncheon for more than 500 people, preference must be given strictly in order of application. The price of luncheon will be 50 cents, and the money must accompany each application, which should be made at the office of the Union, or by mail addressed to the treasurer, before Monday, June 26. In case more members apply than can be accommodated, the money will be returned. Tickets will be held at the office of the Union, where they may be called for on Commencement Day.
