Yale Won Second Princeton Game

Yale defeated Princeton in the second game of their baseball series at Princeton on Saturday afternoon by the score of 6 to 3. Woodle, who defeated Yale at New Haven was ineffective and at no time master of the situation. White, who relieved him in the eighth, was steady, striking out five of the six men who faced him.

Yale scored two in the first and Princeton evened up in their half of the same inning. Yale scored again in the second, fifth, sixth and seventh. Princeton started a rally in the ninth when Sterrett, the first man up, knocked a home run and the next two men singled. The Yale team steadied down, however, and there was no further scoring. Hartwell pitched a good game for Yale, and, although hit freely at intervals, was invincible at the critical moments.
