The annual contest in extemporaneous speaking for the Speakers' Club silver cups will be held under the auspices of the Speakers' Club, in Holden chapel this evening at 8 o'clock. Each competitor will be allowed seven minutes and will speak upon a general topic of his own choice, although the special phase of the subject upon which he is to speak will be announced to him this morning. The competition is restricted to members, but the meeting will be open to the University and the public.
