The preliminaries for the twenty-fifth annual track meet of the New England Association of Amateur Athletes will be held on Pratt Field, Springfield, this afternoon. Teams will compete from Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Brown, Dartmouth, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Holy Cross, Springfield Training School, University of Maine, University of Vermont, Wesleyan, Williams, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Dartmouth with its exceptional strength in the field events and the few points which it can get in the hurdles, sprints and mile run, should win the meet. Williams, Wesleyan, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology all have good teams for a big meet and should have a hard fight for second honors. The finals will be held tomorrow afternoon.
