How Cambridge’s Political Power Brokers Shape the 2025 Election
After several months of correspondence a formal challenge has been received from Oxford and Cambridge Universities, England, for a dual track meet with Harvard and Yale, to be held at Queen's Club, London, early in July. The authorities at Yale have expressed the willingness to accept the challenge, and the prospects are very bright here at Harvard that the meet will be held. In case the challenge is accepted the American teams will combine together against the English teams. In previous years the English system of scoring has been adopted, by which only first places are counted. Nine events were held instead of the 13 customary in this country. It is probable that the same conditions will prevail again this year.
Of the three meets already held, two have been won by the Americans and one by the English. This year the Americans should be able to send a very formidable aggregation, as the University team is strong in the events where Yale is weak and vice-versa.
