Lacrosse Team Won From Hobart

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University lacrosse team defeated Hobart, at Geneva, N. Y., Saturday afternoon, by a score of 7 to 0. Harvard was clearly superior in all departments of the game, and especially in the last half when it scored almost at will. The University team showed great improvement over its work in the earlier games, notably in team-play and stick-work. Although in the first half Hobart held Harvard to one score, in the second half the University team rolled up a total of six goals, chiefly through the aggressive playing of Blackett, Fitts, and Gustafson at first, second, and third attack, respectively.

Fitts scored the first goal and in the second period Blackett scored three goals, Fitts two, and Gustafson one. Blackett, at first attack, excelled for the University team, and Cook and Hall played well for Hobart.

The summary: HARVARD.  HORART. Brightman, g.  g., Buck Simmons, p.  i.h., Skinner Hutchinson, c.p.  o.h., McKain Hale, 1d,  1a., Warner Webber, 2d,  2a., Wheat Nash, 3d.  3a., Cook Foristall, c.  c., Hume Gustafson, 3a.  3d., Quinn Fitts, 2a.  2d., Unger Blackett, 1a.  1d., Boyless Earle, o.h.  c.p., Hall Parker, i.h.  p., Church

The University lacrosse team will play Cornell at Ithaca this afternoon in the final game of the intercollegiate series. The Cornell team has not played up to its usual form this season and on the recent southern trip lost all but one game. Last Saturday they were defeated by the Crescent A.
