Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
With ideal weather conditions the spring handicap track games on Saturday afternoon brought out a number of excellent performances. Two new Harvard records were established and close competition was the rule in all the events. P. R. Withington '12, running from scratch, broke the University two-mile record, made by H. Jaques, Jr., '11, in the dual meet with Yale at New Haven in 1909, by 12 1-5 seconds, his time for the distance being 9 minutes, 34 3-5 seconds. T. Cable '13, the other record breaker, threw the 16-pound hammer 150 feet, 7 8-10 inches. This was 13 3-10 inches better than the record of 149 feet, 6 1-2 inches, established by H. E. Kersberg '07 in the intercollegiate games in Cambridge in 1907. Both Withington and Cable will receive gold record medals.
K. S. Billings '12, with 2 yards handicap, won the 100-yard dash in 10 seconds, and running from scratch broke the tape in the final heat of the furlong dash in 22 2-5 seconds. In the quarter, half, and mile runs, the handicaps were too large for the scratch men to do better than secure second places. B. M. Preble '12, starting from scratch in the 880, covered the distance in approximately 1 minute, 56 seconds, and H. P. Lawless '13, scratch man in the mile, went the four laps in 4 minutes, 28 seconds.
