This program is intended to stimulate an interest in the cultivation of speech for its relation to general culture, for its uses in public discussion, and for its value in the interpretation of the acted drama. Some of the meetings are open to the University and others afford opportunity for general discussion. The meetings will be as follows:
April 11.--Reading by Professor Thomas Crosby, Jr., of Boston University; subject: "The Liars," by Henry Arthur Jones. Open to members and invited guests.
April 25.--Dinner in Memorial Hall; address by ex-Governor Curtis Guild '81.
May 2.--Election of officers; addresses by Professor I. L. Winter '86, and members of the club.
May 9.--Annual contest in extemporaneous speaking for the Speakers' Club Cups. Open to the University.
May 16.--Annual dinner at the Oakley Country Club.
