FIRST HOME GAME WON, 2-0

Three Double Plays Featured Yesterday's Game With Trinity.

Three double plays, two in the first two innings, featured the baseball game between the University team and Trinity yesterday afternoon. Harvard won by a 2 to 0 score. The fielding of the team showed great improvement, but the throwing of the infielders is still weak. Had it not been for fine stops by McLaughlin, who played first base for the first time this season, several of the men would have marks against them in the error column.

Hardy's pitching was excellent. He held Trinity to four hits, two of which were scratches, and kept them well scattered. There was only one long hit in the game, a two-bagger by Turner.

Harvard scored in the first inning on a single by Rogers, Desha's out and a hit by Clifford. In the next period Gibson got to first on an error by Turner, went to second on a passed ball and stole third, but was left there when Hardy struck out. McLaughlin succeeded in reaching the plate in the sixth inning, when he got a pretty single, took second on Clifford's out and came in on a single by Coon. Potter was left on third in the eighth, which was the last chance that Harvard had to score.

Trinity came near scoring but once, when Bleecker was given a pass and went to third on a wild throw to first by Hardy.
