As the ice is rapidly leaving the river, the University and Freshman crews were able to go down-stream yesterday almost to the Cottage Farm bridge.

The work of the University, crew showed a slight improvement, over that of Monday, the boat being steady, but the blade work still somewhat ragged. Cutler returned to his place at 7, Metcalf going back to 3.

The Freshman crew was sent on the river for the first time this year. The men appeared unsteady in the boat and did not row in unison. The finish was cut short and lacked drive.
